Obligatory Harbor Picture
I’m just coming back from a France/Italy vacation, with the trip starting out with Nice and Monaco. We dedicated our first Sunday to the Historic Grand Prix and exploring Monaco. They ran 10-18 lap races depending on the class, and had seven classes ranging from pre-war cars to the early 80's. More races, more variety, for about 1/10th the price of the actual Grand Prix, pretty good deal. Overall, I highly recommend it if you’re at all considering a trip to Monaco. They do it on even number years two weeks before the actual Grand Prix. Here are a few out of the many pictures I took.
Pre-War Cars
Pre-War Cars
Took a break from the action and explored the Prince’s Palace. Very cool view of the circuit from above.
Porsche 70th Anniversary parade laps included a 917, a 911 Targa, and a few others that i’m not knowledgeable enough to recognize
McLaren M26 as raced by James Hunt won the Serie F race.
Rain made things a little unpleasant but made for some cool visuals.
Surtees TS19 understeered into the corner in front of us.

Nice, that was while it was still sunny. Is it anywhere online?

The Class C I saw, it was pissing it down and drivers were taking it cautiously, a grey Jaguar spun out and thankfully missed everything even though it came so close to the side wall a few times.
It’s on Channel 4 OnDemand.
Goodwood Road & Racing channel have several videos of highlights of the different races.
